Scope and Contents note The folder contains a typescript entitled 'Contribution of Sisters of Mercy to Nursing' by M. Imelda Keena RSM, Archivist. In the course of her writing, she collected research material (mostly photocopied): 'Mercy Healthcare Philosophy Ireland'; 'Mercy Healthcare' article; article about St Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, USA, dated 04 August 1988; 'Sisters of Mercy Health Corporation Philosophy and Mission' and 'A Procedural Handbook to assist in Undertaking and Implementing the Philosophy'...

Two letters dated 1991 and 1992 from M. Imelda Keena RSM to M. Teresa Green RSM with information about the Eyres, with a copy of a letter sent to Sr Imelda from Derby Museum and Art Gallery about M. de Sales Eyre. Also included are photocopied family trees, a book excerpt, a newsletter with local history cards on the Eyres, and an article on the Eyre chapel at Newbold near Chesterfield.

M. Imelda Keena RSM, Archivist, assisted in the updating of the publication "Sisters of Mercy of Great Britain" by M. Imelda King RSM on behalf of the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy. The project was a collaborative effort with the Union of the Sisters of Mercy and the English Federation of the Sisters of Mercy. The files include Sr M. Imelda's correspondence, numerous Mercy trees, addresses of communities, draft copies of the publication and a sample print layout.
