Scope and Contents

A presentation volume containing a rhyming poem commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Bermondsey foundation in 1839 "From the Convent of Mercy Bristol" (written in a scroll illustrated on the front cover). The poem is mounted on red leather board and tied with string. Bristol was still a branch house of Bermondsey in 1889.

Three reprints from the The Bermondsey Catholic Magazine dated December 1889 of an article entitled "The Golden Jubilee of the Convent of Mercy, Bermondsey, 1889". The jubilee was celebrated in The Most Holy Trinity RC Church, Dockhead, on 19 November 1889.
