The file consists of a handwritten volume of the minutes of the management committee of St Joseph’s Convalescents Home from 20 February 1893 to 24 May 1984;and notices of the meetings of the committee dated 14 and 21 January 1936 to appoint a new trustee; a deed of appointment dated 05 May 1970 for 'Mary Scully' [Sr M Joseph]; an annual report of accounts presented by the committee in 1982; and other forms and brochures used by the home.

The file contains two brochures celebrating the centenary of St Joseph's Convalescents Home Bournemouth 1888 to 1988; an invitation to the celebration; a photograph of the centenary cake; and a photocopy of a news article about the centenary of the home and convent. The file also includes one brochure and a scrap book of the celebration of the new building and its re-opening and blessing on 02 June 1989 by Bishop Victor Guazzelli.

The file consists of appreciations of St Joseph's Convalescent Home, Bournemouth. One, written by AG Dickenson, a former patient, is entitled 'At tuppence per person per week, an appreciation of St Joseph's Convalescent Home' and is accompanied by photographs; the other is a printed booklet entitled 'A Bourne from which the traveller returns'.

Scope and Contents The file consists of registers of the Bournemouth community. There is a handwritten register of temporary profession and reception from April 1928 to 13 April 1966 giving the names and dates of temporary vows in the front and of reception half way through; a register of death of members of the community from 18 March 1889 to 06 May 1899 and then 04 June 1924, and in the back a register of postulants from 01 November 1889 to 22 April 1931; and a large register inscribed in gold on the front...
