Scope and Contents

The file consists of a souvenir book for the centenary of the Vicariate Apostolic of the Catholic Church in Jamaica, 1837-1937, which includes a description and photograph of the Sisters of Mercy in Jamaica. Also "Jamaica Triumphant", a pageant for the anniversary. also included is an Invitation to "The Sister Superior and Companion" [Bermondsey] to the Centenary Celebration Mass at Midhurst on Tuesday 31 May 1988; and a manuscript from Clifford Convent of Mercy to celebrate 60 years of foundation from Bermondsey, 1870-1930. It contains prayers and includes a short life of M. Clare Moore RSM and is bound in a red velvet cover that violently sheds red dust.
