Scope and Contents
The file consists of letters written to Reverend Mother at Bermondsey from M Margaret Blount at St Mildred's Convent, Minster-in-Thanet (1901); M Therese J with the evacuated Ave Maria School at Edge Grove, Aldenham nr Watford; M Michael from St Mary's RC School, Wellesley Road, Croydon; and Catherine Heffernan. The file also includes letters written on exercise book paper, To Mother Marcelina from Bermondsey. From Father O'Readon to Reverend Mother, Bermondsey; and to Sister M Joseph which has no signature All the above letters describe the day the rocket hit the Presbytery and richoted into the Convent at Dockhead.
