Scope and Contents note

Legal correspondence from Mr Forristall, Thomas Sing, M. Ordell ("formerly with the late Mr Malloy, Solicitor to the late Lady Barbara Eyre"), Mr Malloy (solicitor), P.R. Bardonleau (solicitor), Rev. Peter Collingridge (Executor of Lady Barbara Eyre's estate), B. Charlton, John Sheenan (possibly Colonel Leslie's agent). Some letters were addressed to Bishop Grant but were sent on or copied to the Reverend Mother at Bermondsey Convent of Mercy. The letters are arranged chronologically and according to author.

Financial accounts for the case, with rough notes on the amount of Lady Barbara Eyre's property at the time of her Profession and subsequently. Accounts of the estate's Trustees (Bishop Griffiths and Hon. Edward Hebe) with the Commercial Bank of London, 1841-1847. Accounts of Messrs Burley and Carlisle in account with Rev. Peter Collingridge, 1856-1857. Accounts of Georgiana Moore and Amelia Ellis with Rev. Peter Collingridge, 1864-1865.

Letters written by Bishop Thomas Grant to Reverend Mother, Bermondsey Convent of Mercy, regarding the Eyre estate. Includes copies of two letters from the Bishop to Colonel Leslie and Mr. Arnold.

Letters written by M. Clare Moore RSM regarding the Eyre estate, mainly sent to Bishop Grant and returned by him with a small comment upon. Some notes are undated.
