Correspondence and papers from George Arnold, founder, and subsequent partners of Arnold Fooks Chadwick Solicitors to Reverend Mother, Bermondsey, and Bishop Thomas Grant (sent on by the Bishop to Reverend Mother) regarding various legal issues. These include the estate of Lady Barbara Eyre, property deeds, wills, finance, a contract dated 1876 for building an extension to Bermondsey Convent of Mercy, Bermondsey schools and cottages, and correspondence with London County Council and the Metropolitan Borough of Bermondsey.
