Dibb, Lupton and Co., 1965-1970
Scope and Contents note
The file includes some plans and letters to Reverend Mother and others concerning sale of land at Clifford mainly from Dibb, Lupton and Co., Solicitors; documents concerning the sale to West Riding county Council of Clifford Convent and High school and St Edward's RC Primary school, with copies to Reverend Mother and Dibb, Lupton & Co; a letter refusing planning permission to a Mr Coates - the copy to Reverend Mother; and two letters to Mr H B Burrows of Dibb, Lupton & Co from M Grainger of Byron and Grainger concerning sale of fixtures and fittings, with copies to Reverend Mother. The first sets the price offered from West Riding County Council low and the second a good deal higher. There are also documents from the aution of the fixtures and fittings, and the copy of a letter from Mr Burrows in which the Lewthwaite trust is once again cited in the conveyancing of land.
