Bermondsey, Dockhead, 1840 - 1945
Scope and Contents
File contains drawings of the convent in Bermondsey 'from a drawing by Francis D Bedford' and a metal etching of the same. There is also a slide of the image of Dockhead in which the old Convent is just visible. In a separate envelope in the folder, are images of the convent after a V2 bomb hit the Most Holy Trinity Church on 03 March 1945 at the end of the Second World War and ricocheted into the convent. There is a written appeal on the back of one of the photographs for it to be returned if possible as 'it is the only one we possess'.
