Scope and Contents note
Series consists of records acquired and accumulated by the Reverend Mother of the Bermondsey Congregation, dating from 1822 to 1980. The series consists of retreat notes, spiritual writings, Mass cards and indulgences, relics and their authentications, prayers and prayer cards, horaria, music scores, poetry, Mass booklets and a retreat menu. The series illustrates Mercy spirituality from foundation to the near present.

Arrangement note
The series is arranged into four sub-series, five files and one document at item level. This potentially confusing arrangement has been devised by the archivist in an attempt to arrange otherwise somewhat ephemeral material, for ease of access by the researcher. Additional, accruals may be forthcoming so it is hoped that the arrangement is flexible enough to cope with them.
