Scope and Contents note
Series consists of records acquired and accumulated by the Reverend Mother of the Bermondsey Congregation circa 1925 to 1990. The Novitiate for the Bermondsey Congregation was located in a wing of the Bermondsey Convent. When the Second World War (1939-1945) broke out, all non-professed novices and postulants were sent home. It wasn't until 1953 that a new Novitiate opened in a wing of Chislehurst Convent.
