Scope and Contents
The file consists of a number of letters came from Ireland written by: M.C. McNamara RSM, Limerick (1864); M. Agnes Forde (?) RSM, Dublin (1864); M. Magdalen de Pazzi RSM, Dublin (1868); from Belfast regarding the death of M. Gonzaga Barrie RSM (1873); M Evangelist Forde, Baggot Street, Dublin (1872 and 1887); M Malachy, Carysfort Park, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, regarding changes to the constitutions and customs (1920s); and two postcards from Carysfort, Blackrock, Co. Dublin saying letters and booklet had arrived (1938 and 1940 - possibly to do with the Cause). Two letters were written from The Convent of Our Lady of Dolours, Cullompton, Devon; a couple from Edinburgh; one from M. Aquinas RSM, Liverpool, writing on the Directory (1926); one from M. Fidelis RSM of Mercy Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, USA, requesting material for use in the History of Nursing course at De Paul University (1936); letter from M. Clare, St John's Wood, London, asking for information about the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, with response (1943); letter from M.M. Ignatius RSM, Offchurch, Leamington Spa regarding temporary vows (1963); and two letters from M. Hermenia RSM, New Orleons, USA regarding letters of Catherine McAuley (1982-1983).
