Scope and Contents
The file consists of the artwork produced for, or donated by the Oldham Community, or its branch houses previous to 1983. They include 1. undated copy of a pencil sketch of Paddock House Convent, Accrington, it is marked 'P' or 'I' 'SA', and a watercolour entitled 'Paddock House Convent, Accrington 1921 to 1991'. 2. Medium sized Portrait of Mother Angela Borini, in colour. On the back was a a short biography which now resides in Sisters Papers. 3. Pencil sketch of Mother Angela Borini. The label on the back notes that the original painting is in Handsworth. 4. Trees of Mercy, by Sister Benignus O'Donnell (1907 - 2002) most intricate. The branches being the early mother houses and the leaves being the later houses. or daughter houses. 5. Mezzotint of Mother Catherine McAuley

Custodial History
The painting came from Colwyn Bay another former branch house of Oldham. On the back of the painting was a biography of Angela Borini RSM which now resides in IOLM/OLD/3/5/1
Appraisal
The biography of Mother Angela Borini, which was attached to the back of the painting, has been relocated to IOLM/OLD/3/5/1
Fair
Card, ink, paint, paper, photocopy, melinex, card There is some water damage to the left edge of the painting. It is now supported in card and archival tape. The Mercy trees is in Melinex
