Scope and Contents

The file consists of 1. two papal blessings issued to the Sisters of Mercy in Colwyn Bay in the year of the bi-Centenary of the Birth of Catherine McAuley in 1979 when the house was still a branch house of Oldham Convent. They are signed by Pope John Paul II. 2. Papal blessing from John Paul II for the Sisters of Mercy of the Oldham Community. It is not signed by the pope the date on the blessing is 22/05/1984
