Firstly Anlaby Road convent from July 1895 to October 1907, which after two years overlap with Endsleigh convent from the years October 1905 to December 1916, plus one volume covering 1927. Thereafter the annals of 1 January 1957 to May 1958 are recorded on a bundle of papers and the contents of four folders record daily life from 1965 to August 1983. A further four volumes hold the annals of North Ormesby and Beverley. There are press cuttings and photographs throughout the series.

Conditions Governing Access note
As a private archive, access to the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy Archive requires application to the Archivist and approval by the Institute's Leadership Team. Where items are closed for access, this is indicated at the appropriate level.
Biographical / Historical
Where some branch house's annals are sparse, they may be found recorded with the mother house of the period, namely Analby Road convent up to 1905 and subsequently Endsleigh convent up to 1985 when the Institute asked each house to keep their own annals (each house having equal status by then).

Arrangement
The series is arranged into six files, reflecting the original order. The first volume is missing and the series begins with the second volume. Some branch houses kept their own annals and this is reflected in the collection, noteably North Ormesby.
Appraisal
Crossbeck's annals have been appraised out because they were written after 1985, and Crossbeck therefore has its own subfonds level from that date.
