Scope and Contents
The file consists of 1.Scrapbook of news cuttings about Catholic Education in Hull from 1902 to 1929, printed by the Hull Daily Mail. The cuttings concern the sisters' work in education; bursaries; local council meetings and the letters generated by these issues. The scrapbook has been photocopied for preservation. 2. An album with unlabelled newspaper cuttings, regarding Catholic education in Hull plus a plan of Anlaby Road Convent; 3. Photocopies of three pages of the Hull Daily Mail, letters to the Editor, regarding Catholic education and attitudes of the Hull Education Committee and funding for Catholic schools; 4. Copy of The Catholic Voice, the Middlesbrough Diocesan newspaper, it has articles on pages four and eleven which praise Catholic schools; 5. Photocopies from The Hull Times and the Hull Daily Mail of articles about the Sisters.

Fair to poor
Newsprint, board, photocopies and paper. The Newspaper in the album disintegrates on touch, which renders straightening, and hence reading difficult. To be kept separate from the other documents.
