Saurin versus Star, 1869-1872
Scope and Contents
The series consists of the defence of the Sisters of Mercy in the form of questions and answers; the Queen's Bench original transcript of the third and fourth days of the trial by the shorthand writers; and various verbatim accounts of the case. There are 53 letters and two other documents, mostly to set up a committee to raise funds for the Sisters after the case.
