Scope and Contents
Assorted documents regarding chapters and acts of chapter:
1) Leather-bound volume entitled "Acts of the Chapter", dated 1855-1939. The volume is handwritten and includes details of the various acts of the chapter, including the appointment of the first Mother Superior. Numerous letters and official documents are also inserted into the volume.
2) Leather-bound volume entitled "Acts of the Chapter", dated 1931-1973 featuring various acts of chapter as well as inserted copies of extracts from the minutes of the April 1953 Chapter.
3) Leather-bound volume entitled "Acts of the Chapter and of the General Council", dated 1974-1982, featuring meeting minutes and inserted official documents and correspondence.
4) Leather-bound volume entitled "Minutes", dated 1982-1983, featuring meeting minutes of the Reverend Mother and Council, as well as inserted letters.
5) Booklet entitled "Instruction on the Renewal of Religious Formation", Vatican Polyglot Press, 1969.
6) Colour photograph of the delegates at the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy Chapter, 1988.

Paper, ink, board, leather, photograph, card. The spine of one volume is broken and is now tied with linen tape, the corners and spine of the 1931 volume have red rust leather and are worn at the corners, there is sellotape at the bottom of the spine, it is now wrapped in tissue and supported by linen tape.
