Time Capsule, 1923
Scope and Contents
The contents of the file have been removed from an inadequate box labelled 'Contents of a Time Capsule discovered hidden inside a foundation stone at the former convent school in Clifford. It is believed to date from July 1923' it was presented by Barratt (home builders)to the Sisters in December 2004. The contents include two newspapers from July 1923, (and the photocopy of the front page of one); five coins; some rosary beads; a bunch of religious medals; Agnus Dei in a cloth purse; a list of benefactors written onto parchment and a novena to the Little Flower. There is also an explanation of the time capsule and the story of how it was dug up by builders in 2003, and presented to sisters in Cantley convent.
